Anniversary Celebration

Today Trevor and I had our anniversary celebration. Last night, a friend offered to watch the kids, at the last minute, so Trevor and I went out for ice cream. Then today, we took the kids with us to Tunnel Mill. They had a historical re-enactment and weapons display, which we knew the kids would like, so we just decided to all go. It wasn’t anything fancy, but it was cheap and it was fun. The town has done a good job of restoring an old historical house and the area was set up with tents and people in costume to tell you about the history of the area. The re-enactment was kind of “generic” but it was still fun to watch. There was even a couple of guys juggling. They were from Minnesota…ha ha …what’s the chances of that?!!

After leaving Tunnel Mill, we headed home and my cousin came over to babysit for a few hours. Trevor and I went to Cheuy’s Mexican Restarant for lunch. It’s a new restarant, which we hadn’t tried. It wasn’t all that. It was ok, but the music was too loud and the “hostesses” were not dressed very good at all! Yikes!! So needless to say we probably won’t be going back.

From there we did a bit of shopping and then went to the Falls of the Ohio Musuem. It was a nice relaxing time. We could slowly stroll around and actually read and see things that we wanted to see, without the kids rushing us along. There’s a lot more “history” in our area then I thought there was.

After leaving the musuem, we went to Starbucks for a frappachino. Yummy!! Then back home we went.

It was a nice “date” and also nice to be able to just spend some time together without having to spend a ton of money.
