March

I was told that I needed to update the blog….so here ya go. =)

March was super busy. It definitely came in like a Lion. We had some nasty storms and a lot of rain. It looked like we had a small river running through our backyard.

Trevor preached a lot (as he often does) and on one of the trips, it was just he and I. It was just a day trip a couple of hours north, so we left that morning and returned that evening. One the way home, we decided to stop at IKEA. We’ve never been to one and I hear that it’s all the rage. I’d never drive 2 hours north just to go to it, but since it was one the way home, we figured we’d check it out.

Forgive me, but I don’t know what the big deal is. I wasn’t really all that impressed and I didn’t buy a single thing. I didn’t see anything there that I couldn’t get other places. Most of the furniture wasn’t my style and looked like it belonged in a staged house….not a lived in house. This being said, I probably won’t be going back any time soon.

My cousin’s daughter celebrated her 16th birthday with an Hawaiian themed party. That was a lot of fun. Happy birthday to Myra!!

Strangely enough, Myra isn’t in this picture…haha. But it’s a good one of my kids, Fiona and Gabe!

But she is in this one!! Can you spot her??

We also had my brother, Samuel, and his wife Ashley, come over for a few hours. My kids finally got to meet their newest little cousin, Lily.

I’m so glad we had this opportunity to hang out with them.

Later in the month, a few families went up to Ohio for an event that was hosted by our good friend, Bro Samuel B. There was going to be some family sessions on “The Christian Family”. Bro Barry C. was the speaker and he read a lot of quotes and scriptures on parenting and family life. It was awesome. We had a really good time. When we were leaving, we stopped to see Lake Eerie. It was very cold and very windy, so we didn’t get too many pictures.

And apparently, there was a school/chapel nearby that was named after Charles Finney. So of course we had to go see that.

We got home a bit late, but it was a really fun trip.

We ended the month with our youth Bible studies and thankfully some much nicer weather.
