November Surprise

In November, we surprised Glorianna with the announcement of an early Christmas present. We were going to fulfill her “life long” dream and get her a dog. She cried. And laughed. And cried. And laughed. It was an emotional rollercoaster.

We bought her a custom made ornament of a Golden Retriever with the year 2021 on it as a way to tell her. She didn’t get it at first. But then when I asked her why I would buy her a dog ornament she figured it out. “Are you serious??” and thus began the rollercoaster.

The announcement video is posted on my InstaGram for anyone who follows me over there. I can’t figure out how to get videos to work on the blog.

We went the following week to pick it out. She had a blast playing with all the puppies and finally narrowing it down to the one she wanted.

Meet Ava Jubilee.

We don’t get to bring her home until after Thanksgiving, but in the meantime we have a lot of work to do. We have dog stuff to buy and a fence to build. We want the puppy to eventually be able to spend more time outside than inside, so a fence is a must.

We still have a long way to go. We have a gate to build as well as finishing the rest of the fence. But we are getting there. Hoping to have the whole thing done in the next couple of weeks.
