October was a very busy month for us. To start things off, my cousin’s oldest daughter got married. It was small, but very sweet and beautiful. Congratulations to Fiona and Gabriel.
A couple of weeks later, Glorianna threw a surprise party for her good friend, Leah, who turned 16. That was a lot of fun. I meant to get more pictures, but I forgot.
And at the end of the month, my kids attended a weekend youth camp in South Carolina. So Trevor and I decided to use that weekend as a time for us to have a little getaway as well. After driving the kids to camp and dropping them off, Trevor and I headed to our Air B&B we had rented for the weekend. It was located on a lake about an hour from the youth camp. It was a great way to just relax for the weekend. We had a beautiful view of the lake, had no schedule at all and just enjoyed taking it easy. We did get to spend some time with my good friend Marie, who lives in that area, who I hadn’t seen in over a year, so that was really nice too.
We also did some hiking….
….and played some mini golf.
Sunday morning we went to church at Bro. Luke’s, picked up the kids from camp in the afternoon, and went back to church that evening because Trevor was preaching at Bro. Luke’s for the evening service. Monday morning we packed up and headed home. It was a very enjoyable and relaxing weekend.
