Florida/Disney Trip – Part 6 – Animal Kingdom, Round 2 and Final Thoughts

Saturday, January 16 – Today we went back to Animal Kingdom. We road the Animal Safari Ride again and got to see more animals and enjoyed walking around looking at more cool sights.

We got to see a father giraffe teaching his son how to neck fight. That was pretty cool.

We got to see a male and female lion sleeping on the rocks this time, even though its really hard to see in this picture.

We walked around and looked at a few more things and then left the park around noon. We met up with some other believers and had a picnic at a nearby park then drove to Sarasota, FL where we would spend the rest of the weekend.

Sunday, January 17 – Trevor preached for Bro Danny. It was a good service. Trevor preached on “Deception, Redemption and Rejection”.

After a tasty lunch and some more fellowship we started the long drive home.

Monday, January 18 – We finished the drive home.

So the overall breakdown is this:

Our favorite park over all was a close tie between Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, then Epcot and lastly, Magic Kingdom. It was nice to visit all of the parks and see what we could. Most of the shows were shut down and there wasn’t any character interactions, so that made the visit a little less epic. We probably wont go back to Disney any time soon, but it was nice to experience it as a family and since it was a first time for all of us, it made the trip worth it.

Top favorite rides from the combo of all of us, from all the parks, were: Rise of the Resistance, Smugglers Run, Flight of Passage, Everest, Frozen, Big Thunder Mountain, 7 Dwarves Mine Train, Soarin’, Nemo, Winnie the Pooh, African Safari, Jungle Cruise Boats

There were more rides but those were the ones we all liked the best and would probably ride again.

And there you have it.
