Home Repair Part Three

Here are some more updates on our backyard/patio. It’s been a slow process, but we are getting there.

We removed the “benches” that were attached to our upper deck.

With the big ugly trees by the deck now gone, you can see just how “unsafe” our railings were.

Pulling up the old boards on our upper deck. Left the main frame and posts.

New boards down and new railings up!! Much better.

Enjoying some s’mores on the new lower patio.

And this is where we currently are. We still have to finish staining, add the spindles and the lattice on the bottom of the deck. But things are moving along.

And we still have to finish laying pavers on the rest of the patio, and plant grass seed.

In the meantime, I’m trying to keep my plants alive. It’s so hot right now they need water a lot.
