Zion’s Birthday, BYC and Canada Camp

Zion turned 18 on June 30th. How is that possible??!! I can’t believe I have an 18 year old. Crazy. We didn’t get to celebrate his birthday because he spent his birthday at Believer’s Youth Camp up near Indy. So we will be celebrating his birthday at a later day. It’s been a very busy June and July, as you will soon see.

Trevor and the boys went to BYC on June 29th and returned home on July 2. I unpacked, did laundry and repacked so we all could head to Canada for a family camp on July 3. This was my first time out of the USA and I have’t flown in about 10 years. But I survived. I did much better than I expected to.

Saskatchewan Northern Lights Family Camp was really nice. It was quite a bit cooler there, even tho it was July, so that was nice. They had very nice services and some fun family activities. The people there are super nice and really make you feel loved and welcome.

Some of the musicians. This was the first night. By the second night some more people had arrived and there were 3-4 more instruments.

Trevor catching jelly beans in his mouth in one of the family activities. Trevor and Glorianna were on the same team and they ended up winning 4 out of the 5 games that were played.

Carrying marshmallows in a straw.

Putting a puzzle together.

Peeling and eating a banana with one hand.

Some of the beautiful views from camp.

Trevor preached the Friday morning and evening services. Both were very good.

More pictures of the Minneapolis airport…this time on the way back home.

Waiting for the subway to take us to the Mall of America. Since we had a 5 hour layover we did a bit of sight seeing.

We had this caricature done at the Mall. Pretty funny.

We made it back home on Sunday night, July 7th. We had to leave the camp a day early because Glorianna had to be back for still waters. But it was a good trip. I would go back again if it wasn’t so far away. All that flying makes for a long day, but I am glad we went. It was a good time.
