Leaf Burning

We have been studing the Sun, in Science this week.  Zion is really fascinated by the entire thing.  So after school yesterday, he went outside to try and burn a leaf using a magnifing glass.  It took him a little while because it was a bit windy, so the leaf blew away a few times, but he finally got it to burn. Glorianna and Azariah watched and Glorianna got very excited when Zion had success. 

Astronomy is just fascinating.  Zion is really loving it.  I can’t wait to see what other cool things we learn about our solar system.  We use Apologia Science.  Its awesome, because they teach science from a christian perspective.  So no “big bang”, just simply “God made it…etc.”
