This post is going to be some random stuff, so feel free to skip it if you want.
Zion has been applying for a lot of scholarships lately in hopes to help out with college fees. So far he’s won 2. The homeschool soccer one last fall and this one from the REMC this spring.
A few weeks ago we had some nice evenings and decided to have a bonfire with our dinner. First one of the year.
Over Easter we were in South Carolina. We spent some time enjoying the fellowship of some of the believers there and even got to do a little shopping. It was really nice. We also ate a Biscuit Head on the way home. They have the biggest biscuits I’ve ever seen and you can top it just about any way you can imagine. Im just a regular biscuit eater…good old sausage gravy for me.
The kids are really enjoying Drama. They have learned a lot about public speaking as well as creative writing when they have to rewrite or edit some of the scripts. Their most recent one was “MacBeth-Off Kilter”. It was a modern day comedy loosely based on Shakespeare’s Macbeth. But much more enjoyable. No one dies. Instead, kids get expelled from school. haha. And Macbeth is “Scottish” which is why Zion, who had the main part, wore a lot of plaid. Azariah was one of the kids that got framed and expelled and Glorianna was the school nurse.
Even tho no one dies, the two kids who got expelled come back to “haunt” Macbeth. Its actually pretty funny.
And among all of the business of life, Trevor is still traveling and preaching a lot as well as preaching twice a month at our home church. My Sunday School class is supposed to be starting full time in the next month or so. I’ve been substituting for one of the other classes and that’s been a lot of fun. I’ve really been enjoying it.
We are down to the last 3 weeks of school. Zion’s graduation is coming up next week and things are moving right along.
