December

Trevor hasn’t had a whole lot of time to go hunting this year. But he was able to get 1 buck and someone gave us two more deer. So we have 3 in the freezer so far. Im not sure if we will get anymore or not, but we are thankful for what we do have.

And just like that its December already….so out comes the Christmas decorations. I got a few new ones this year and got rid of some old ones. After several years of the same ones I just needed a change. I went with more of a winter theme this time instead of the typical red and green decor. I really like it.

Isn’t this little fox adorable?

And here is a Nativity Set that Glorianna and her friend made. But this one got sent home with her friend. We already have two Nativity Sets in the house.

We did homemade stocking last year and those just didn’t go over very well. I made them too small. That was the first time we had ever done stockings. So this year I took advantage of the 50% off sales at Hobby Lobby and bought some cute ones. Glorianna wanted to make a fire, so she drew one and put it on the window where I had the stockings hung.

This is the tree we used last year. Its tiny but it was our only option last year. The one we used to have got thrown away after about 10 years of use and I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on a new one. So this year I just used our little tree upstairs to go with my winter theme. I love the way the popcorn strands and the cranberries look.

I found this tree at a yardsale back during the summer for $10. Its a 6 ft pre lit, so I didn’t even have to worry about getting new lights. It was so easy to put together. MUCH, MUCH, MUCH easier than our old one. So after the decorating and popcorn strings, I think it turned out cute.

I put some burlap and lights under my Nativity this year. I think it looks great and it goes really well with the “Behold Him” sign I made last year.

And that’s it for now.
