And off we go to Nashville, TN for the yearly homeschool convention. With a cooler and box full of food, we are hoping to save a bunch of money by eating in the hotel room this year.
All 3 kids get to perform in the Academy of Arts program this year and they are excited. The story was called “The Man Without a Country”. The kids all did very well. It was a lot of fun watching them act on stage.
One of the scences Azariah’s character gets insulted and draws his sword. But no fight actually broke out. This part was not in the script, so it was a nice surprise.
There was a party scene in which the kids had to dance. None of the boys in the play wanted to do this, not just mine. Thankfully it was very mild and nothing to worry about. But even so, the boys didn’t really enjoy it. They said it was stupid. haha.
Because there was a lack of boys to fill all the parts, Zion and Azariah played a couple of different characters.
The kids had a blast and Trevor and I are all set for next years schooling.
Sunday we attended Bro. Tidwell’s church where Trevor spoke on “Beholding Christ.” We had a great service and some great fellowship after. They are super nice people and it was fun getting to know the family.
On to the next adventure….finishing up the school year.
