40!!!

Well it’s that time of year again. Time for the calendar to tell you that you’re another year older. Only this year I hit a milestone on Feb. 7th. The Big 40. I mentally prepared myself to accept it because I wasn’t sure how I was going to end up finally taking it. But it went well. I must say that 40 really isn’t too bad.

My good friend Rebekah turned 40 9 days before I did, which really helped break the ice. So here we are looking all happy about the new milestone in our lives.

Trevor and I went out on a double date with Nathan and Rebekah to celebrate. That was a lot of fun. We went to the cheesecake factory. Great food. Great cheesecake and great friends to celebrate with.

Trevor also bought me this beautiful bouquet of flowers, remembering that my favorite flower is a daisy, and this awesome bracelet.

And then on Saturday I had a few friends over for cake and coffee. That was really enjoyable. Nothing fancy, which is the way I wanted it. Just cake, coffee and fellowship. I received some great gifts but the gift of friends showing their love and support was the greatest gift of all.

And my mom bought me an Insta pot. I’ve been thinking about getting one but just never had. Now I have one and I cant wait to try it out.

So thank you to everyone who made my birthday great and made me feel special. 40 is nothing to fear when you have great friends and a loving family by your side.
