35 years and counting…

Yesterday I officially hit 35. I wasn’t really planning on doing anything special. I just planned a yummy supper and dessert. I was just going to spend the day at home and enjoy the evening with my family.

But my mom called….

So I ended up taking my supper and dessert plans to her house. I wasn’t expecting anything big to happen. Just moving locations. But as it turned out, we ended up with a house full at my moms house. My cousins, who have recently moved here from Kentucky, joined us at moms as well as my brother, sister in law and their kids. Suddenly what I had planned for food wasn’t enough. So my mom cooked as well and my cousin bought a cake to go with the cheesecake I had made. It was a houseful and got a little loud but it was a nice way to spend my birthday. Yesterday was also my brother, Amos’, birthday. He is exactly 8 years younger then me. So this get together seemed like a huge celebration.

All in all, it was fun and a good way to help me remember my big mile marker.

I didn’t mind one bit that I cooked my own birthday supper and dessert. Haha.
