January – We had some snow.
and a before and after picture of the church. Its beautiful with and without snow.
We finally got around to using our gift card to Texas Roadhouse that we had been given as a thank you for helping with Caleb and Jenna’s wedding. We had an hour wait, on a weeknight (crazy), but the food was good and we were glad to finally be able to go.
February- My birthday came and went, but it felt like a nice long celebration because we had several days of doing things.
The weekend of my birthday, there was a youth banquet in Ohio that our kids went to. There were several kids from church who wanted to go as well. Trevor and I usually take the church van full of kids, to camps and banquests a few times a year, but this year Jonathan and Sarah offered to take them since their kids were going as well. Because it was my birthay weekend, I was all for staying home. So Trevor and I had a nice weekend alone, enjoying the quiet house and had a nice meal at home together.

The kids had a blast at the banquet and made some new friends while getting reaquinted with some old friends.
I share a birthday with Aaron M, (even tho I’m several years older) so we had a double celebration with him and Becah on our actual birthday. The four of us went to Mussel and Bugar bar. Oh my. So good. Becah had never been there before and she loved it as well.
We also went out to eat with Nathan and Rebekah later that week, as is our yearly tradition because Rebekah and I are 9 days apart. We went to Brookyln and the Butcher. Oh my. It’s amazing. But it’s also crazy expensive. Which is why we’ve never been before and why it’s only a good idea to go on a very special occasion. But the food was some of the best I’ve ever had.
My family pitched in together and got me this beautiful hutch. It’s something I’ve been wanting for awhile and finally found one small enough to fit my space.
It was a great week of celebration and 45 feels like the best year so far. =)
The following week, Cortnea V. hosted a mother/daughter “Galentine” party at her house. She told the girls to come dressed as a female character (fiction or nonfiction) that inspired them. Then they were going to explain who they were and why they were an inspiration. They also played some games and had a great time just hanging out.
Glorianna went as “Susan”. A character that she created. She’s one of the main charactors in the book that she is writing. The book is amazing. She’s doing a really great job. It’s still in the editing process but she’s really wanting to get it published when it’s finished. She picked Susan because of her strong faith and trust in God.

We’ve had a few nice “spring like” days in Feburary, so we took advantage of it and spent some times outdoors.
A tired puppy.
My baby brother, Samuel, and his wife Ashley, welcomed their first little one into the family. Say hello to my newest neice, Lily Elane.
And to end the month of Feburary, we did things a little different for our monthly Youth Bible Study this time around. We rented a gym for two nights (10-14 year olds the first night and 15-30 year olds the second night). After a short devotional, we let the kids play and have fun. It was a big hit and both age groups said they’d love to do it again. So we might throw in another random one here and there.
Glorianna started a 6 week internship, through Prosser, with Chick fil-a, so that will take her through the end of March. She will be working in the kitchen most of the time, cooking and preparing the food. When her 6 weeks are up, we will see what she plans to do after. She is officially a Senior now. She has been working extra hard to graduate early, so as of January she as begun her senior year of school. Right now it’s looking like she’ll be finished in July or August.
And that wraps up the fist two months of the year. March as already been busy, so be sure to come back later and see what all we’ve been up to lately.
